The Old Market is a neighborhood in downtown that’s very popular both among those local to Omaha and those that are paying a visit, so you’ll definitely want to make a point to visit the area when you’re in Nebraska!

It’s known for shops, galleries, and great restaurants, the last of which are definitely worth your while to visit. If you want to know where the best places to eat in the Old Market are, you’ll find them on this list!

Jams is an American grill, which means it’s a “melting pot” of every kind of food you could imagine, and drinks, too! Whether it’s a cocktail or a dish made of high-quality ingredients, you won’t be disappointed.

There are three locations in Omaha, the second one to open is this Old Market location. Any of them would definitely be worth a visit, but this one certainly takes the cake. You can also order food to-go if you prefer!

Jams is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sundays.

M’s Pub has been bringing great food served by amazing chefs and an impressive wine list to Omaha for over 40 years, since 1972! It’s been part of the Old Market since before the area was as well-known as it is now, and so M’s Pub is a staple of the area.

With starters, salads, soups, sandwiches, and light entrees, this restaurant has lots of great food that you won’t want to miss out on. Add that to the gluten-free options, specials, desserts, kid’s menu, and selection of drinks, you’re sure to have a great meal and a great time. 

Hours are from 11 a.m. until midnight on Mondays through Saturdays, and from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Sundays.

There may not be any beaches in Nebraska, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find great seafood at Omaha. Not only does Plank Seafood Provisions have all the fresh fish, oysters, shrimp, and other seafood you could want, but it also has a full-service bar! Craft beer, cocktails, and tap wine— oh my!

In a central location with plenty of metered parking, Plank Seafood Provisions is without a doubt the place to go if you’re looking to get your seafood fix far inland. And the food isn’t the only great thing about this place, the atmosphere is also wonderful!

On Mondays through Thursdays, Plank Seafood Provisions is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Hours are from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon until 9 p.m. on Sundays.

On the menu, you’ll find starters, salads, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and even kid-friendly food items. There’s also separate menus for happy hour, brunch, and drinks— beer, wine, or cocktails.

Here, you can enjoy all your favorite authentic Mexican dishes— enchiladas, fish tacos, chimichangas, fajitas, specialty tacos, appetizers, salads, combinations, soups, vegetarian dishes, desserts, you name it! You’ll also find an impressive drink selection. 

Trini’s is open from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and noon until 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Nicola’s Italian Wine & Fare specializes in rustic Italian food for dinner, which you can eat for dine-in, or pick-up curbside if that suits your comfort level more. There’s an online bakery where you can order delicious treats right from their website, and you can book catering there, too, since Nicola’s isn’t affiliated with any delivery services.

As far as dinner goes, however, there’s antipasti, paninis, soups, salads, pasta, and more! No matter what you choose, you’re sure to have a great, authentic Italian meal at this restaurant.

While Nicola’s may be closed on Sundays and     Mondays, on Tuesdays through Saturdays this restaurant is open from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
