As the name might suggest, Blue Sushi Sake Grill specializes in three things— sushi, drinks, and dishes prepared on the grill if sushi isn’t your thing. If it is, though, there are an amazing amount of options for you to choose from here! 

You can order different kinds of maki, sashimi, and nigiri— whether you go a more traditional or innovative route, this place has you covered. Soups, salads, and entree dishes are available, too, as well as a wonderful selection of drinks.

The hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. The best deals are during happy hour, though, which applies to both dine-in and takeout orders on Monday through Saturday from 2-5:30 p.m. Happy hour on Sunday is dine-in only.

With a constantly moving conveyor belt of sushi, there’s always food ready to eat at Yamato— you might just have to be quick to grab it! The plates on the conveyor belt are color-coded based on price, but of course they also have a menu if you want to know more about what you’re buying or if you want something specific!

There certainly are plenty of options here, and you can dine-in or order online for takeout. If you do choose to eat there, the restaurant incorporates a modern flair into both the restaurant itself and their recipes.

Yamato is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. They’re closed on Thursdays, but the sushi train runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch hours on weekends as well as 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week for dinner.

The long list of the sushi menu— which even includes vegan options —is tempting enough alone, but Yoshitomo also serves appetizer dishes, entrees, and a few salads. Sake and beer are available, too, but Yoshitomo takes pride in their wine choices especially.

They also offer non-alcoholic drinks, so there’s something for everyone on the menu here, even in terms of food! Nigiri, sashimi, maki, omakase— all available to order or for takeout or eat here!

This restaurant is closed on Mondays, but it’s open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.

With Chinese, Thai, and Japanese food on the menu, Ahi Sushi Ramen & Grill has a lot of choices. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions, so this may be a great place to get sushi if one of those applies to you.

But really, it’s a great place to get sushi, anyway! At Ahi-Sushi you can dine-in, or order takeout for either pick-up or delivery. The hours for all of these are the exact same; 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays.

Ahi Sushi serves rolls, appetizers, entree dishes, many different kinds of noodles— after all, this place is known for its ramen, too —sushi, sides, and desserts. There’s also a kid’s menu, and a wide variety of beverages both with and without alcohol.

Located in a very historic area of Omaha known as the Blackstone district, Butterfish has very quickly risen in the ranks of popularity since it opened just a few years ago in 2018 due to its amazing food and service. You can make a reservation online, or order takeout for pick-up via OpenTable.

The food isn’t the only thing special about Butterfish, though— there are drinks, too! Whether you’d like tea, a beer, or a wine, Butterfish has you covered. The best time to buy one of their drinks is, of course, during happy hour, which is Wednesday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, and all day on Sunday.

Lunch at Butterfish is from 11 p.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner is from 5 p.m. to closing time— 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8 p.m. on Sundays. Butterfish is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Sakura Bana is all about being authentic in the food they serve, and has been since 1989 when the restaurant first opened. The lunch and dinner menus offer traditional Japanese foods such as ramen, tempura, and— of course —sushi that they roll by the hand.

This restaurant also has a menu devoted entirely to sushi, served a la carte, so if you’re coming just for the sushi you don’t have to look very far to find it! Then it’s only a matter of time before you have some delicious sushi on your plate, whether it’s within the restaurant or to-go.

Lunch at Sakura Bana is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. On Mondays through Thursdays the dinner hours are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., while on Fridays they last until 9 p.m. and on Saturdays they begin at 4 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
