416 S 12th St | Old Market | bluesushisakegrill.com
As the name might suggest, Blue Sushi Sake Grill specializes in three things— sushi, drinks, and dishes prepared on the grill if sushi isn’t your thing. If it is, though, there are an amazing amount of options for you to choose from here!
You can order different kinds of maki, sashimi, and nigiri— whether you go a more traditional or innovative route, this place has you covered. Soups, salads, and entree dishes are available, too, as well as a wonderful selection of drinks.
The best deals are during happy hour, though, which applies to both dine-in and takeout orders on Monday through Saturday from 2-5:30 p.m. Happy hour on Sunday is dine-in only.
“Great atmosphere and the service rocked! Our server was on point and took excellent care of us! Menu had a nice selection of lots of different rolls! Highly recommend if you love sushi!” - Yelp Review
1308 Jackson St | Downtown | hiro88.com
With four locations in Omaha alone, Hiro 88 is incredibly popular among people that live in the area for its atmosphere, service, and options. With both lunch and dinner menus and two different kinds of happy hours, there’s plenty of food and drinks for everyone!
“My first time here was one of the best times I have had in Omaha… The atmosphere was very spaced out. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there. I really enjoyed this place and plan on coming back!” - Yelp Review
7429 Pacific St Suite 1 | West Omaha | yamatosushiomaha.com
With a constantly moving conveyor belt of sushi, there’s always food ready to eat at Yamato— you might just have to be quick to grab it! The plates on the conveyor belt are color-coded based on price, but of course they also have a menu if you want to know more about what you’re buying or if you want something specific!
There certainly are plenty of options here, and you can dine-in or order online for takeout. If you do choose to eat there, the restaurant incorporates a modern flair into both the restaurant itself and their recipes.
“The food was great, the service was even better. Sushi places are not normally known for their great levels of service but this place honestly made me feel like I was dining out at a friend’s house.” - Yelp Review
6009 Maple St | Benson | yoshitomo.com
The long list of the sushi menu— which even includes vegan options —is tempting enough alone, but Yoshitomo also serves appetizer dishes, entrees, and a few salads. Sake and beer are available, too, but Yoshitomo takes pride in their wine choices especially.
They also offer non-alcoholic drinks, so there’s something for everyone on the menu here, even in terms of food! Nigiri, sashimi, maki, omakase— all available to order or for takeout or eat here!
“The overall experience was outstanding. Our server was excellent. She made suggestions, advised her favorites and set our dinner up for success. Every course was delicious. Everything was beyond fresh.” - Yelp Review
1211 W Center Rd Ste 101 | West Omaha | ahisushine.com
With Chinese, Thai, and Japanese food on the menu, Ahi Sushi Ramen & Grill has a lot of choices. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions, so this may be a great place to get sushi if one of those applies to you.
Ahi Sushi serves rolls, appetizers, entree dishes, many different kinds of noodles— after all, this place is known for its ramen, too —sushi, sides, and desserts. There’s also a kid’s menu, and a wide variety of beverages both with and without alcohol.
“We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, edamame, and salad with ginger dressing for delivery. The rolls were tasty and done well. Everything was packaged well, arrived at the right temperature, and arrived in a timely fashion. Tasty sushi delivery!” - Yelp Review
3901 Farnam St | Blackstone District | butterfishomaha.com
Located in a very historic area of Omaha known as the Blackstone district, Butterfish has very quickly risen in the ranks of popularity since it opened just a few years ago in 2018 due to its amazing food and service. You can make a reservation online, or order takeout for pick-up via OpenTable.
“Over and above the exceptional food, the atmosphere and service were first tier - I look forward to trying more of their delicious selections on my next visit!” - Yelp Review
7425 Dodge St | Omaha | sushiomaha.com
Sakura Bana is all about being authentic in the food they serve, and has been since 1989 when the restaurant first opened. The lunch and dinner menus offer traditional Japanese foods such as ramen, tempura, and— of course —sushi that they roll by the hand.
This restaurant also has a menu devoted entirely to sushi, served a la carte, so if you’re coming just for the sushi you don’t have to look very far to find it! Then it’s only a matter of time before you have some delicious sushi on your plate, whether it’s within the restaurant or to-go.
“It was a great atmosphere and a nice place to relax for an authentic meal. I highly recommend this place, they have a lot of different food and sushi options and some fancy ways of displaying the dishes!” - Yelp Review

If your goal is to stuff as much sushi in your face as possible, Tokyo Sushi is your place. Located in the heart of downtown Omaha, you can fill up on all of your favorite fresh fish with Tokyo Sushi’s all you can eat option. “Visiting Omaha for the first time and was craving sushi - ended up at Ponzu! AAAAAAAmazing .. every single roll I tried was amazing.” – Yelp Review
8718 Pacific St | West Omaha | www.izakayakoji.com
Fans of Omaha’s Yoshimoto restaurant should be jumping and cheering for this one – why? Koji is Yoshimoto’s recently opened sister restaurant. Here you can find a variety of unique sushi dishes right in the heart of West Omaha, as well as some of your favorite foods from Yoshimoto. Like Yoshimoto, Koji has an upscale vibe, making it the perfect spot for date night or any other meal that means a lot to you.
What’s even better, Koji’s location in West Omaha solves several of the headaches that plague fans of Yoshimoto. Parking? More plentiful. Elbow room? Expanded. Overall, the restaurant takes what locals love about Yoshimoto and kicks it up a notch.
“Chef Yoshitomo does it again. I have been to Koji twice now, and we were blown away by the food both times. There are so many options for everyone that are sure to please. I went with my friend who is a vegetarian and another friend who doesn't like raw fish, and they were able to find food that they could enjoy. Looking forward to my next dinner here!” – Yelp Review
8419 S 73rd Plz | Papillon | www.miyakesushi.com
If you look for information about Miyake Sushi House online, you won’t find much of a presence – just a few practical lines on their website that lets visitors know their most popular dishes (spicy California roll, yellowtail avocado roll, imperial mango) and where to find them (near the Walmart Supercenter). However, the restaurant’s plentiful 5-star reviews speak for themselves.
If you’re looking for fresh sushi and sashimi, a wide variety to choose from, and excellent service in Papillon, you can’t go wrong with Miyake Sushi House.
“I live in Hawaii and it's as good as the some of the places out here. I went in with low expectations (I mean, it IS Omaha ) and left pleasantly surprised.” – Yelp Review
1504 Galvin Rd S | Bellevue | www.umamiasianne.com
Umami might not be much too look at from the outside – located in a suburban strip mall in Omaha, NE you would hardly expect to find the kind of excellent quality that Umami offers. Chef Keen Zheng spent the last 13 years learning from top-tier sushi chefs in NYC and worked at prestigious restaurants including one of only 10 Michelin-star sushi restaurants in the United States. Now, he’s brought his talent to Oamaha.
With vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options, everyone in your party is sure to find something to enjoy at Umami. Whether it’s pad thai or the sushi lover special, crab rangoons or dragon rolls, you’re sure to find all your favorites – and maybe even discover something new, too.
“This is often listed as one of the best restaurants in Omaha for a reason. There's very few places you can order JUST a piece of fish and it's delicious. The weirdest thing is the atmosphere! This location was clearly built as something else. It certainly is not modern but it is a top tier restaurant now. This just adds to the fun and mystique!” – Yelp Review
