El Rio Verde is a small restaurant located in North Tulsa that you could easily miss if you weren't paying attention. While the front of the restaurant has a classic look to it, the side of the restaurant dons a mural of a Mexican landscape that's worth taking a picture of. The inside has a casual interior with very fun and colorful tables.

El Rio Verde opened its doors in 1998 by a local family who still owns the restaurant today. Locals in Tulsa continue to visit this restaurant to enjoy the delicious Mexican food El Rio Verde has to offer. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is quick and accommodating.

They offer a wide selection of Mexican cuisine including appetizers, burritos, salads, tacos, enchiladas, sandwiches, and more. We recommend their famous Wet Burrito, their special recipe that's one of their most popular dishes. It consists of your choice of meat along with beans, rice, lettuce, and cheese which is then doused in salsa and covered in melted cheese. They top it with sour cream and guacamole. Yum! The Wet Burrito may become your new favorite meal.

"We arrived at a little before 12 noon and the place was packed ... for a very good reason. We got lucky and caught a table for two within in a minute after walking in. Two wet burritos (one chicken and one beef). It is what made them famous for a reason. They were very good! We will soon be back to try more of the menu." - Yelp Review

"AMAZING TACOS! We love the steak and chicken they are both full of flavor. Their burrito was also really good. Super big. Service is quick and helpful. The queso and salsa is also a must! Its a small inside area and it gets very busy! They have jarritos, canned soda, and glassed bottled coke and sprite. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant but worth a walk.
