1. Ludivine

A classy restaurant offering farm-to-table American cuisine.

320 NW 10th St | Oklahoma City

Ludivine is a modern restaurant that offers American classics in an elevated environment. The restaurant is spacious with a mixture of modern and rustic decor. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so you can enjoy your meal on the patio, and the warm lighting creates a romantic ambiance.

Chef Russ Johnson opened Ludivine’s doors in 2010 in the heart of the Midtown district. He is committed to making their foods from scratch and using classical techniques. The menu changes on a daily basis based on the ingredients and inspiration of the chef. They even formed relationships with local farmers and ranchers to ensure they stocked high-quality and sustainable seasonal produce, meats, and seafood.

Because their menu changes daily, we can't recommend a specific dish. However, the changes make this restaurant more exciting to visit on special occasions because you'll be getting a different menu every time. They offer charcuterie boards, appetizers, entrees, and desserts along with craft cocktails. So make sure to try Ludivine on your next date in Oklahoma City!

“Very happy with my experience here! Among some of the best service that I have received in the city from not only the management but the staff was fantastic. Menu was great, service was excellent and you can tell that the entire staff was there to take care of people and ensure they had a good time. I will return! Keep up the good work and I appreciate everything you did for us!” - Yelp Review

2. Red Primesteak

A local restaurant that serves high-quality steak in a historic building.

504 N Broadway Ave | Oklahoma City | redprimesteak.com

Sleek, comfortable, and romantic are the three words I would use to describe Red Primesteak. It's a lively restaurant with modern decor in a relaxed setting. It has wonderful warm lights and hues, white tablecloths, and dark furniture.

Red Primesteak is housed in the 1911 brick building. Broadway Avenue, where Red Primesteak is located, was part of the growing Oklahoma City and the core of Automobile Alley developed around the 1920s. These brick buildings located in Automobile Alley became common for commercial use by automobile related businesses. However, many businesses, including Red Primesteak, now use these buildings today.

Red Primesteak provides a festive setting and sources their steaks from Allen Brothers, a company that provides high-quality USDA prime, Angus, and wagyu steaks. Along with amazing steaks, they also offer appetizers, seafood, and a few other entrees. If you're looking for ambiance and a good steak, stop by Red Primesteak for your next date!

“This is top of the line, premier food. I'm pretty sure this is the best place to eat in OKC. GET THE SALAD. GET THE SALAD! The wagyu Tomahawk was well worth the price, and they offer a variety of crusts and sauces to accompany (even though it's perfect without it). The staff was excellent! Truly a 5-star experience!” - Yelp Review

3. Cheever’s Cafe

An upscale bistro dishing up Southwestern and Southern cuisine in an elegant environment.

2409 N Hudson Ave | Oklahoma City| cheeverscafe.com

Cheever's Cafe is a romantic spot to enjoy a lunch or a dinner date. Believe it or not, Cheever’s began as a flower shop in 1927 run by Oklahoma Bell Cunningham, the first baby born in the newly formed Oklahoma City. After her husband, Lawrence Cheever, became unemployed during the Great Depression, her flower business became the family trade. It thrived for generations and eventually grew to include a dining area and bar. It's become an important part of Oklahoma City's history and a fabulous place where locals love to dine.

Stop by here for brunch, lunch, dinner, or cocktails. For dinner, they offer shared plates, soup, salad, entrees including steaks, chicken, and seafood. If you're stopping by for a lunch date, we recommend starting off with the Roasted Quail Short Stack which is farm-raised quail on corn tortillas and topped with ancho chili sauce, Mexican cheeses, and salsa verde. For an entree try their sandwiches like the fried chicken sandwich with charred jalapeno slaw, pickles, all on a toasted brioche. This is the perfect place to go for a fun date night especially if you're a history buff!

“Cheever's deserves a solid five stars. I've never had a bad experience nor a bad dish. Most recently, I ordered the carbonara and it was to die for. The chicken fried steak is superb. The shrimp and grits are wonderful. The fried chicken sandwich is decadent. The salads are creative and tasty. You can't go wrong with anything you order. And the presentation of the food is spectacular. It is art on a plate. This place makes me happy. Be sure to make reservations because everyone else agrees with me too. :)” -Yelp Review
