“Was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever eaten at…The place is extremely charming with the ambiance including a wine room designed to look like a house in Italy complete with a clay-tiled roof within the restaurant. We also had the most friendliest and kind servers - it really added to the warm atmosphere. The best part is the owners are from Italy who actively take part in the cooking, with the second generation now helping out in running the restaurant. Every dish was delicious, cheesy, and too good.” - Yelp Review

📍 23 S Tejon St | Colorado Springs | redgravyco.com
Italian immigrants were settling in St. Louis as far back as in the 1890s, and so when their descendents came to Colorado Springs and opened a restaurant, they brought St. Louis style Italian-American dishes with them, such as toasted ravioli and gooey buttercake.
There’s far more on the menu at Red Gravy, though, and the restaurant name itself comes from the use of the word gravy to describe an authentic Italian “meat sauce,” or ragu, since there was no exact translation. You can find plenty of dishes doused in delicious sauces here.
Red Gravy is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
