9 Chinese Restaurants in Homestead, FL You Can’t Miss

Hello and welcome to my article on Chinese places around Homestead, Florida. I’ll be honest, Homestead didn’t have an abundance of great Chinese places, so a couple of the restaurants are going to be as far away as Miami. But don’t worry, I’ll give you each place's address so you know where they are. And I’ll also link you to their website when I can. To be honest, a lot of these places don’t have a super robust web presence, but you should at least be able to check out the menu for all of them. I’m not gonna lie, I cheated a little bit with these first two restaurants. Both Grand China Restaurant and Great Wall Chinese Restaurant are both about an hour away from Homestead in Miami. But I just couldn’t ignore that they had such a higher amount of positive customer feedback than some of the restaurants further down the list. So I felt it was important to include the Chinese restaurants in the area that have the highest amount of positive feedback if I was making a list of the best restaurants in the area.

With all that being said, Grand China Restaurant is one of the absolute best Chinese restaurants in all of Miami. Which honestly sets them apart a little bit more because they are competing in a much more concentrated area. So if you are looking for all of the classics that you love, served up in the highest quality possible, then this is going to be my choice of Chinese restaurant around Homestead for you!

2 - Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

Loved By Locals and Travelers Alike

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was a very close second place on this list. While Grand China Restaurant had a higher number overall of positive customer reviews, Great Wall Chinese Restaurant has many absolutely glowing reviews that makes me feel like when you catch them on the right night, they are undoubtedly the best Chinese you can get in the Miami/Homestead area. But due to the fact Grand China Restaurant has so many more positive reviews I couldn’t not put them in the number one spot.

They seem to be absolutely beloved by regulars, and new customers alike. Which makes me feel really confident recommending them because they seem to satisfy every customer, and absolutely blow away many of their customers as well

Their special fried rice was amazing as well, some of the best I've ever tasted. Best Place for Chinese Take Out In Homestead

Let’s face it, a lot of the time you are craving Chinese food, what you are really craving is Chinese takeout. I mean sure the food is delicious, but the best part of Chinese food is taking it home and eating while you binge your new favorite show. So I’m not taking any points off of the Hong Kong location in Homestead because they are takeout only. I feel that there’s probably a 50/50 chance that you were hoping for takeout anyways.

And if you are in the mood for take out then Hong Kong Homestead is going to have everything you want. They have a really large and impressive menu for a takeout place. Everything from combination platters of all your favorites, to the Chef’s Specialties, appetizers, soup, fried rice, and on and on. You are for sure going to be able to find whichever of the Chinese dishes you are craving.

4 - Shanghai and Tokyo

As the name might suggest, you are going to be able to find excellent and authentic Chinese and Japanese food at Shanghai and Tokyo. And although they do specialize in online ordering, they offer both dine in and takeout options for the Homestead area. 

They specialize in getting the food ready fast without sacrificing on quality. They are known for the wide variety in taste and fresh high quality ingredients. So you are going to get a great meal in a hurry. And they offer super simple online ordering. So if you are planning on takeout, be sure to give their website a look so that way you can have your order placed online so it’s ready for you to pick up!

5 - Canton Chinese Restaurant

A Staple of the Chinese Food Scene In Homestead

Canton Chinese restaurant has been serving up quality Chinese food in the Homestead area for more than 20 years now. So while they don’t have too much of a web presence, they do have a lot of quality word of mouth about them. You can’t really beat their prices for a meal either. While some people complain that it isn’t as flavorful as it could be, what I assume they mean is that it is not as spicy as they prefer. Which makes Canton Chinese restaurant a great choice for anybody who has an aversion to really spicy food. 

You can enjoy all the classic Chinese dishes that you love, without setting your mouth on fire. And I’m sure there are some of you out there who love Chinese food, but aren’t a huge fan of the places that prepare it in a really spicy fashion.

6 - China Yan Chinese Restaurant

Another Long Standing Chinese Place With Years of Experience

China Yan is another Chinese restaurant in the Homestead neighborhood. They’ve been around since 2007 so you know they must be doing something right. In that time though, they’ve only managed to wrack up a three star rating with customers. And from looking through their Yelp reviews, it seems like they are really hit and miss. 

There are just as many five star reviews as there are low reviews. And that is one of the big reasons I put them so far down the list. They don’t seem to consistently deliver a great experience. When they do, it’s phenomenal, but they seem to be not so good on other nights. Regardless, they’ve been open for over 15 years, so even if it isn’t always the greatest Chinese meal of all time, they seem to be doing something that keeps people coming back year after year.

7 - Peking House Restaurant

The Last Chinese Place That’s Actually In Homestead

Peking House is going to be the last of the local Chinese places. That’s why it’s so far down the list. To be honest the only reason I’m going out of my way to include them is because my first two recommendations were both in Miami and it felt like I was leaving places in Homestead out. People seem to have had a pretty lackluster experience with them though. It seems like they survive on some consistent local patrons who really enjoy the food they make. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the people who like it, really like it, but for everybody else, it seems to leave something to be desired.

8 - P.F. Chang’s

P.F. Chang’s is a popular national Chinese food and Asian Fusion chain. While you aren’t going to get the absolute highest quality and most authentic Chinese food, you do get a lot of variety in choice at a pretty fair price. In my honest opinion, if you are in Miami you are better off with one of the great restaurants from the very top of the list. But if traffic is bad, or they are just too busy, you can always count on P.F. Chang’s to deliver passable Chinese food at a reasonable price.

If you are craving fast food style Chinese food, but don’t want to make the drive all the way to Miami, then Panda Express could be just the spot for you. They are located just a couple miles over from Homestead in Florida City. And while they probably aren’t going to deliver the most authentic Chinese food you have ever had, they are the most popular Chinese food chain in the whole country. So you know they must be on to something pretty tasty if they are able to support so many locations over such a wide area.

There you go dear internet reader! That is my list of the best Chinese food you can find around the Homestead area in Florida. I’m sorry the first couple were all the way in Miami. I know that Miami and Homestead aren’t the same place and are actually kind of an obnoxious drive apart. But to be honest, Homestead itself didn’t blow me away with out of this world Chinese places so I had to stretch the boundaries a little bit.
