In beautiful downtown Bar Harbor you will find the place for ultimate comfort, great drinks, and good vibes, it’s Cottage Street Pub! Whether you enjoy a craft cocktail and a light snack outside or in, this spot has got you covered, and we must say that the aesthetic of the building is super cool – it gives off “classic old pub” vibes on the outside, with a dash of modern upkeep inside.
A friendly staff is there to greet you, offer recommendations, get you your free popcorn, you heard right, free popcorn, and get you settled to enjoy an afternoon or evening out in gorgeous Bar Harbor. Now Cottage St. Pub has a range of craft cocktails and other drinks to enjoy, and as of right now on their colorful blackboard they have drinks like the Drunken Tea (vanilla infused vodka and house made Thai tea), Watermelon Crawl (gin, lemon juice, muddled watermelon, and basil), and New York Sour (bourbon, lemon simple syrup, egg white, and Malbec Float).
“This is by far the best bar on MDI. They have a cocktail program that will wow and dazzle. True industry professionals run this bar and it shows. The cocktails are the best! This place is as comfortable as your own living room but with more laughs and fun.” -Yelp Review

In 2021 Dale Stockburger opened up Finback Alehouse in a building that was originally built in the 70’s, and all this time later it still holds that same charm, both in the architecture and the team helming the mission to bring the best service, food, and drinks possible. This is an establishment that’s here to bring something special to the Bar Harbor area, and even though this place is relatively new, that hasn’t stopped it from making waves with the locals and vacation goers, as highly rated reviews have been popping up rapidly for the past year! And as this historic bar is all about community, it makes sense that this place is getting praise.
Finback Alehouse has dinner and drinks to serve, and on the dinner menu they have foods like Oysters, Nachos, a Lemongrass/Ginger Bahn Mi sandwich, Lobster Grilled Cheese, and an Impossible burger! While their drink menu has cocktails like Right Near The Beach which consists of Ice Pik vodka, pressed lime & grapefruit, and lemongrass-Ginger shrub and a good ol’ Old Fashioned with drafts, sours, craft cans, wine, shots, cider, seltzer, and more for your evening drinking needs!
“We had a great time while dining here. The service was stellar and the food was just what we were looking for. Everyone was able to find something on the menu and we all go something vastly different than one another.” -Yelp Review
