So you are looking for restaurants in Acadia National Park huh? Probably searched for something like “restaurants in Acadia National Park Maine” or “what’s the best restaurant in Acadia National Park” right? What’s that? How did I know that? Well I mean this is on your phone or computer so this article will only show up for so many restaurants that you searched in Google so I know it had to be something like that. Either that, or you got here from another GiftYa post or article in which case thank you for reading two today! Well today, just like everyday I have (hopefully) exactly what you are looking for. This is a list of the best restaurants in Acadia National Park and where you can find them. I will also include links anytime one of these restaurants accept our super convenient virtual gift cards!
As a reminder a GiftYa digital gift card is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A gift card that functions just like every other gift card. It lets you make purchases at a participating bar, restaurant, or store up to the face value of the gift card. However, unlike traditional gift cards. GiftYa digital gift cards come with a few additional benefits. For instance, unlike a traditional gift card, a GiftYa can be sent straight to your phone in seconds. That way you don’t need to deliver a GiftYa in person if you want to give it as a gift. You don’t even have to go to a store in person if you want one for yourself. You can just visit the GiftYa website and pick one up today.
Since GiftYa cards are sent directly to your phone you never have to worry about misplacing them or forgetting to take them with you. In most instances you are going to have your phone with you so in most instances you will have your GiftYa cards right in your pocket. In addition to that, your GiftYa also keeps track of the balance for you. Which is so much nicer than having to try to remember how much was left over on those antiquated plastic gift cards.

Cafe This Way comes in at number one on my list of best restaurants near Acadia National Park for one very simple reason. They have a four and half star rating from their customers with nearly 1000 reviews in. Which is unusually consistent. So I know that when I recommend them to you, there is a very small chance you end up there on a day when they aren’t providing excellent service and quality. Which is really my number one goal when I write these lists. Making sure that the people who read them end up having a great experience at a great restaurant. The last thing I want is to recommend to you some place that is great once in a while, but is really hit or miss most of the time.
But I don’t have to worry about any of that with Cafe This Way. I know that if you go here for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, they are going to have something that is going to knock your socks off. Not only will you get a great meal, you will also get a great price on it. So whether you are stocking up on calories for your big day of hiking at the park, or you are replenishing after a long day of hiking, I have no hesitation in recommending Cafe This Way to you!
“This restaurant was very nice indeed. They had two outside seating areas, one larger than the other and we sat inside which was nice also. We only had to wait about 15 minutes.
The staff was nice & friendly.” - Yelp Review

If you are on a vacation to Acadia National Park, and you are looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat and a nice cold drink after a long day out in the sun, then the Tap & barrel Tavern is going to be for you. This place is really great if you are just looking for somewhere lowkey to enjoy a nice drink and a good meal. This isn’t going to have all the hype and hubbub of a club or dive bar. Instead what you will find is good food and good drinks in a nice relaxing laid back atmosphere. They have great beer, great cocktails, and a great owner!
“Came to Maine for a couple days and couldn't find a more comfortable spot to cap the night with some drinks. small place but very cozy, especially since the bartender was so personable.” - Yelp Review
49 Rodick St | Bar Harbor | sidestreetbarharbor.com
Listen, the worst thing I have to say about Side Street Cafe is that they are seriously way too busy. But that is only because the food is so great that they can’t possibly meet the demand for it all the time. And it is for that reason that I highly recommend putting your name on their wait list at your first opportunity because otherwise you might have to wait for hours to get a table. But if you do get a table you can expect some of the absolute best breakfast and lunch you can find anywhere in Bar Harbor. They say the lobster mac and cheese and spinach artichoke dip are out of this world. So if I were you, I would try to make it there at lunch time.
“I have nothing but good things to say about this place. They have a waitlist online, so we could put our name in early and shop around beforehand. The food was fresh, flavorful, hot, and fantastic. They loaded their rolls, soups, and sandwiches with lobster meat. The cocktails were festive and tasted fresh! The servers were fast and attentive. We ended up going back twice!” - Yelp Review

2 Cats Bar Harbor is a great place if you are looking for genuinely fresh handmade food. They make everything on their menu right in their own kitchen. Including a ridiculous array of delicious baked goods. ALthough they serve a fantastic menu all day, their incredible bakery options really make them an out of this world brunch location!
“Fabulous place! Stopped in and got a Milky Way Coffee and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere is quaint, but come ready to wait. Popularity comes with wait lines. The line moved really fast.” - Yelp Review

If the breakfast and brunch menus aren’t really what you are looking for, and you are looking to try some fresh seafood this close to the ocean, then I have good news! The Thirsty Whale is going to be just the place for you. Whether you want a filling lunch or an incredible seafood dinner, the Thirsty Whale is going to be able to provide exactly what you are looking for. If you’re looking for a lobster roll, clam chowder, or another New England seafood classic, you’ll be able to find it at the Thirsty Whale!
“Totally worth the wait. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Will remain on our list of "go to's" in Bar Harbor.” - Yelp Review
76 W St | Bar Harbor | weststreetcafe.com
West Street Cafe is another excellent cafe style restaurant you can find around Bar Harbor. The great thing about this place is that apparently they have the best blueberry pie you can find in New England. Well actually I don’t know if that is technically true, but when I was researching this place, time and time again the customers mentioned the blueberry pie in their five star ratings. So I’m guessing there is something pretty fantastic about this pie that everybody who has it feels compelled to leave a five star review behind. So if you decide to stop at West Street Cafe be sure to give it a try!!!
“Been here a couple of times. Came here the first time after a tour of Acadia. The tour guide recommended their blueberry pie, and his recommendation was on point. Their pie is so yummy!” - Yelp Review

There are a ton of Dunkin Donuts near Acadia National Park so you can find whichever one is convenient on your route. They make for a great breakfast you can have in the car on the way to the park. And for those of you who are anything like me, they also make a great spot to stock up on a caffeinated beverage before you really have to start your day.
“Great Dunkin coffee. They are super busy, but the line moved along steadily. It took about 10 minutes for us to get our order, with about 12 cars ahead of us. We enjoy their coffee rolls, as well as hot and iced coffee.” - Yelp Review

4 Cottage St | Bar Harbor | subway.com
Subway is a great place to grab lunch before you head out to the park for the day. The sandwiches will keep for a few hours while you are out exploring, and then you can enjoy a nice healthy lunch without ever having to leave the park and add a whole bunch of extra commuting to your day. You can just grab lunch on your way there in the morning and be set all day. I also find that it minimizes the amount of trash you need to worry about when you are out hiking in the national park. Which just makes it all around easier to help keep the parks clean.
“My husband got a good sandwich, quick and fresh. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed one of their cookies.” - Yelp Review
