And while only one of the restaurants on my list today explicitly bills themselves as a crab restaurant, you can rest assured that the rest of them are seafood restaurants that serve an amazing crab dish.

The Old Mill Crab House is hands down the best place to get crab if you are in Salisbury, Maryland. Not only are you going to be able to get absolutely fantastic crab here, you are going to be able to get it prepared in a wide variety of ways and served in a wide variety of dishes. And I mean what else could you expect from a restaurant that calls itself the crab house?

And they walk the walk as much as they talk the talk at Old Mill Crab House. Their steamed and spiced blue crabs are literally award winning. And you can also expect a wide variety of other seafood based dishes. And you don’t need to worry about your party size. They can accommodate anything from two people to two hundred people (with the proper notice that is). So if you are craving crab and you are in Salisbury, Maryland, it’s well worth the drive over the Delaware border to get some award winning crab prepared however you like it at Old Mill Crab House.

Mogan’s Oyster House

I know that with a name like Mogan’s Oyster House you would expect them to have great oysters instead of crab. And while they do have absolutely incredible oysters, they also have plenty of excellent crab dishes on the menu. One of the most popular crab items they feature are crab cakes. And while Old Mill Crab House might have award winning crab, the crab cakes at Mogan’s are out of this world. 

And on top of serving excellent crab and oyster, Mogan’s also serves Newburg Mac and Cheese which consist of cavatappi pasta, lobster, shrimp, scallop, mornay sauce, buttered panko crumbs, served with roasted broccoli. And it’s apparently so good people have to order it on the spot as soon as they see it served up at a neighboring table.

Skipjack’s Seafood is new to the Salisbury restaurant scene, but in the short time they have been around they have built a pretty positive online presence, as well as plenty of positive word of mouth. And while Skipjack’s doesn’t necessarily specialize in crab, the menu options they do offer with crab are out of this world. So if you are in the area dying for some delicious crab for dinner, and you want to help support a local small business then I would highly recommend giving Skipjacks a try. You can count on getting fast and delicious crab dishes served up by a friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. I mean really, what do you have to lose by giving them a shot?

Beach to Bay Seafood Company was actually featured as the very top of my list on my article about the best seafood places there are in Salisbury, Maryland. The only thing that knocked them so far down the list today, is that they don’t specialize in crab. In fact the issue at Beach to Bay is that  there are so many delicious menu options that you might not even be interested in crab by the time you get done pursuing their menu. But if you do go with one of their crab dishes, you can be sure they won’t disappoint as everybody who stops there seems to rave about how out of the world their food is.

1 Fish 2 Fish Crabs and Seafood comes in at fifth place on our list today. And that is because although they do specialize in crab dishes, they don’t have an amazing track record with customers. So if everything else on the list today is either too far of a drive, or just didn’t have the crab dish you were looking for then I would give 1 Fish 2 Fish a try. But really in any other scenario I would choose one of the spectacular restaurants from further up the list.
