9 Great Activities to Make Your Day in the Emerald City Memorable

If you are a new visitor to Seattle or are planning on moving to the Emerald City and aren’t sure what to do with your days in a new city, then today’s post is going to be just the thing you need. Today I have a list of 9 amazing activities you can find right in the heart of Seattle that are sure to help you have a great day. I’ll include a brief summary of each location, a link to their website, and of course their address so that way you can find your way there if one catches your eye. And I’ll also hook you up with a link to their website and Yelp page if you want to learn more about any of the options on the list. Anytime you can use one of our digital GiftYa gift cards at one of these locations I’ll be sure to include a link.

If you are new to GiftYa be sure to check out the video on this page to see how they work. And if you are already familiar with GiftYa and just want to go ahead and start ordering them you can check out this page here.

But that’s enough with the introduction, let’s get right to that list of things to do in Seattle that brought you here!

1 - Von's 1000 Spirits

The Best Place to Find An Amazing Dinner and Craft Cocktails While In Seattle

📍 1225 1st Ave | Seattle | vons1000spirits.com

Von’s 1000 Spirits is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Seattle. And it boasts a 4.5 star rating with thousands of reviews left. So you know they are providing a  consistently high quality  experience to all of their customers who come through the door. They have an incredible kitchen that prepares everything from scratch and the largest collection of spirits in the whole town. And that’s pretty darn impressive when  you consider the size of Seattle and how many restaurants there are in the city. No matter what kind of adventure you are looking for the next time you are in Seattle, I can guarantee that Von’s is a place you are going to want to add to your must see list.

“Came for a late dinner after an evening of traveling, this place totally hit the spot. The service was amazing, our waitress recommended basically our entire dinner & best recommendations ever! The vibes are so cool especially with the wall of spirits, it was so cool.” - Yelp Review

2 - Museum of Pop Culture

One of the Most Beloved Museums in the Pacific Northwest

📍 325 5th Ave N | Seattle | mopop.org

Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture is dedicated to creating cutting edge interactive exhibits focused on music, science fiction, and pop culture. So it really has a little something for just about anybody. I mean who doesn’t like pop culture and music? But on top of that, these kinds of exhibits just feel a lot more fun and entertaining than what you might find at a modern art museum or a natural history museum. The Museum of Pop Culture offers a unique experience that you just aren’t going to find at any other museum so I would absolutely recommend checking it out the next time you need something fun to do for the day in Seattle!

“Excellent! Includes dedicated areas for the Seattle music scene with separate areas for Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana. Well put together.” - Yelp Review

3 - Biscuit Bitch

One of the Best Breakfast Restaurants In All of Seattle

📍 1909 1st Ave | Seattle | biscuitbitch.square.site

If you want to start your day of fun in Seattle with a great breakfast then you should definitely check out Biscuit Bitch. And while I know the name isn’t particularly family friendly, I would urge anybody that is offended to look past that and give this place a chance because they absolutely have the best breakfast you can get in Seattle. They are one of the highest rated restaurants in the whole city period, and are the highest rated breakfast place in all of Seattle as well. So it would be well worth checking them out if you are interested in starting your day with an incredible breakfast at a great price. Check out their full menu if you want to know more.

“Really yummy food and great customer service, plenty of options for vegan and vegetarians alike. Gravy was really groovy. ;) Really enjoyed the fun vibes but not much seating area except at Pike's Market” - Yelp Review

4 - The Pink Door

The Best Italian Restaurant to Get A Great Dinner In Seattle

📍 1919 Post Alley | Seattle | thepinkdoor.net

If you want a more upscale dining environment than what you are gonna find at Vons and really want to cap off your day in Seattle with an elegant meal, then you should absolutely check out The Pink Door. Not only is it the highest rated Italian restaurant in the city, it is also just one of  the highest rated restaurants in Seattle overall so you know they are consistently going above and beyond customers expectations. They serve incredible authentic Italian food and have an extensive wine bar so you can find the perfect glass or bottle to pair with whatever you order. If you are craving Italian food while you are exploring Seattle then look no further than The Pink Door!

“We would definitely come back after the experience we had here. Food was good, server was kind and professional. No concerns at all, overall a mainstay for hosting guests in Seattle.” - Yelp Review

5 - Gas Works Park

One of the Most Popular Parks in Seattle

📍 2101 N Northlake Way | Seattle | seattle.gov

If you are looking for a bit of nature while you are out exploring the metropolis that is Seattle then I would recommend you stop by  Gas Works Park. This is one of the most popular parks in the city and the nice thing about it is that you can get to it without driving crazy far outside of the city. It’s a little reprieve of nature and fresh air in the middle of the concrete and asphalt that makes up our modern cities. And this is a great choice for dog lovers out there because this park is very pet friendly and you can get your pup out to stretch their legs while you enjoy the sunshine, which I would call a win win.

“My partner and I walked here after a quick stop at a local brewery. Great park in an urban setting. Fabulous views of Seattle....and my favorite part? Watching the seaplanes take off and land! I've only seen that on TV before...Fantasy Island, anyone? If you're in the area, definitely stop by!” - Yelp Review

6 - Radiator Whiskey

A Great Place to Get American Cuisine and Incredible Cocktails Too

📍 94 Pike St | Seattle | radiatorwhiskey.com

Radiator Whiskey is really in essence just a very high scale pub style restaurant. And this is great because it means you can get high quality comfort food and craft cocktails in a relaxed environment that doesn’t quite have the hustle and bustle that a normal pub would. If you are looking for a relaxing evening in Seattle, but don’t want to have to meet a dress code or pretend you know why they put out three different forks for your dinner, then Radiator Whiskey is going to be a great spot for you!

“Honestly I'd come back here for just the vibes alone. The music and decor was fantastic. The service was excellent. It gets really busy around 6 so definitely come early or make a rest. The food and especially the drinks were great. There's not a ton of vegetarian options but what they do have is very tasty. I'd come back just to hang out and drink and marinate in the vibes.” - Yelp Review

7 - Olympic Sculpture Park

One of the Most Popular Tourist Attractions In All of Seattle

📍 2901 Western Ave | Seattle | seattleartmuseum.org

Olympic Sculpture Park is pretty much what it sounds like. It’s an outdoor sculpture museum that also serves as a park. So you are basically getting two activities at once with this one. You get to visit a popular local museum, and you get to explore one of Seattle’s favorite parks at the same time. I really think this makes a really nice way to spend the afternoon before a dinner reservation or a night out on the town the next time you are exploring Seattle.

“Beautiful scenery along the shoreline of the puget sound. Full of life and laughter it's a great spot. The sculptures are unique and spread out over a large span of walking path. We walked the path and lime scootered back it's the best way to take in the scenery IMO. If you visit Seattle stop by you'll see some amazing sunsets and meet some wonderful people.” - Yelp Review

8 - Alki Beach Park

Enjoy Seattle's Beautiful Natural Landscape at This Pristine Beach

📍 2665 Alki Ave SW | Seattle | seattle.gov

Alki Beach Park is one of the most popular parks in Seattle for two reasons. First of all, it also happens to be a beach, which everybody loves in the summer. And in addition to that, Alki Beach Park also offers some of the most stunning views of Seattle’s natural landscape that you can find anywhere in the city. So if you are hoping to soak up something other than just shopping and drinking the next time you are out in Seattle, then I would definitely recommend checking out Alki Beach Park!

“I forgot how beautiful it was here over in Alki beach. No matter the season, you can enjoy the scenery that Alki has to offer. With the breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains, the Puget Sound, Elliot bay, Seattle Center, etc. There's plenty of things you can do with your family, friends, fur babies and maybe that special person! So many different restaurants along the Alki strip, too.” - Yelp Review

9 - Hot Tub Boats

I Don’t Know How to Make This Sound Better Than It Already Does

📍 2520 Westlake Ave N | Seattle | hottubboats.com

Hot Tub Boats is a service in Seattle that is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. You rent a boat that fits up to six people that has a hot tub and lounging area on board. And then you can easily steer that boat around and enjoy the sunshine and the Seattle skyline from the comfort of a hot tub right in your boat. I think this is a really great option anytime you have a large group while you are out exploring Seattle. And I mean after all, who doesn’t enjoy spending the afternoon soaking in a hot tub???

“What an amazing experience! The staff here really went over the top to make sure we had a great experience, from providing extensive amenities to giving us thorough instructions on the boat. This is really one of my favorite experiences and one of the best ways to see the city!” - Yelp Review
