He has made it into one of Louisville premiere gastropubs, creating a wide variety of foods for anyone who enters through Four Pegs’ doors. According to The Seafood Lady, their restaurant is wrapped up in 3 simple words: food, family, and faith. Nichelle Thurston, the owner, wanted to bring that Florida-style seafood charm to the bellies of Kentucky. Through social media, their food spread like wildfire, and they were able to buy a food truck. Then at the start of 2018 they were able to open up a restaurant and now even have a second location!

Jumbo shrimp, crispy garlic cheddar biscuits, fried chicken & cajun fries, chicken wings, seafood tacos, and more, The Seafood Lady has all of your seafood cravings down to tee. So if you’re in the mood for some good sea-food, The Seafood Lady has it in spades!

“This Lady knows Seafood.  I'm from the brackish water country by the ocean.  We crabbed, shucked oysters and ate in the sweet salt air.  The Seafood Lady took me back there.  The full crab boil was wonderful.  It came with 2 seasoned eggs, which is a nice touch and a first for me.  Their new digs in Nulu were great for seafood.” -Yelp Review

Elizabeth Kizito, is the woman behind the legendary bakery Kizito Cookies. Born under a banana tree in her home village of Nansana, Uganda East Africa, Kizito has personally said her parents are a huge part of who she is and how her business came to be. Through her entrepreneurial spirit, Elizabeth created Kizito Cookies and oh wow is it wonderful!

Most of her ingredients are not labeled on her packages, as it is a combination of her dreams and chocolate chips, butter, and nuts. Her bakery has a wide selection of things like: regular good old chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps, sugar cookies, double chocolate chip brownies, blondies, muffins, biscotti, granola, and more! Your sweet tooth will never go hungry at Kizito Cookies!

“If you haven't had these cookies you must! Best cookie ever! To many favorites to choose from- the the pumpkin chocolate chip is great for fall and super soft. Snickerdoodles are a great classic. You can't go wrong with a chocolate chip or a white chocolate chip. Tried the coconut macaroon for the first time this year and it is amazing!

Their goal is to make ice cream that they want to eat, with local dairy from JD Country Milk, in house made sauces/jams, and fresh baked goods from local bakeries! Their Banana Pudding ice cream was named best in Kentucky in 2021 by the Food Network, and has won various awards in years past!

So it’s safe to say that this ice cream shop is truly one of a kind there in Kentucky. They have a range of flavors including but not limited to: Bourbon Smoked Pecan, French Vanilla, Maple Caramel, Vegan Raspberry, Peanut Butter Feelings, and Keylime. Louisville Cream has flavors for all different kinds of cravings and is constantly trying out new things!
