Pittsburgh’s East End is no different-- whether you’re in the mood for clothing, artwork, or souvenirs, you can be sure to find what you’re looking for. Comprised of the East Liberty, Bloomfield, Friendship, and Garfield areas of town, Pittsburgh’s East End also has some of the best restaurants-- ones that are on every Pittsburgher’s list to try.

Pizza Taglio is a must-try pizza shop in East Liberty.

The pizzas were delicious! My ricotta pizza was nice and cheesy and the fresh fried garlic on top really made the pizza... - Yelp Review

It serves Roman style pizza-- which means all these pies are made in a wood-fired oven. It does tend to take a little longer, but it’s worth it.

Using fresh, local ingredients is also a key reason people flock to this spot when they want pizza.

Like many restaurants in the area, it’s also a BYOB-- so feel free to bring your favorite wine to complement these delicious pizzas!

2. Tessaro’s

In a world full of mediocre burgers, the ones at Tessaro’s are a breath of fresh air.

Perhaps that’s because they have an in-house butcher to cut and grind the meat daily. Their fresh ingredients and slow cooking technique keep locals and tourists alike coming back to this no-frills restaurant. Their other menu items are delicious too, be sure to try the steak sandwiches!

A very unique shop located in the East End is Iron Eden-- which specializes in custom-made ornamental ironwork.

This blacksmithing studio is located right under the Bloomfield Bridge-- which serves as a very cool backdrop and has been a source of inspiration for the artists. Frome tables, to beds, to chairs, and fences, they can make anything sure to enhance the decor of your home or garden!

It is where most of the immigrants of Italian descent settled in the early part of the 20th century. Which explains why the restaurants in this part of the East End are so delicious!
