$414/Night | Big Sky | airbnb.com/rooms

The Gallatin RIver Guest Cabin is one of the best places to stay in Big Sky if you are really looking to splurge a little bit on your trip. It’s gonna run you over $400 a night, but you really get what you pay for. It’s a completely modern and stunning log cabin that was beautifully handcrafted. It’s only two miles from all kinds of restaurants, shopping, and activities, but it is far enough away that you can lay out in the hot tub at night and enjoy the time star gazing if you want. And the great thing about this cabin is that it has two full bedrooms and two full baths so it can comfortably fit four people nicely.

The people who run it are considered “super hosts” and it’s really easy to see why when you check out how all their customers have rated them on every single aspect of their stay. The lowest rating they have in any category is a 4.8 out of 5. Which is ridiculously good. This is my number one choice for Airbnbs in the area if you are looking to have a vacation where you get to disconnect from the hustle and buzz of the modern world.

“Great home with terrific hosts. The house is perfect if you love to fish and see wildlife. Linda kept in touch and gave awesome recommendations. She even checked on us during the snow storm to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back!” - Customer Review

$215/Night | Big Sky | airbnb.com/rooms

You can save some money on your trip to Big Sky if you go for a smaller more efficient Airbnb like The Mountain Goat which runs $215 a night and is an entire condo. You can probably fit around 3 guests here comfortably at a maximum. But if you don’t need tons of space, I am sure you will appreciate how efficiently the space is used at this Airbnb.

There’s a full kitchen, a full queen sized bed, a full size Murphy bed, a couch, a smart tv, and of course an internet connection. But if you choose this as your place to stay, I am not sure how much time you’ll actually spend staying inside of it. It’s just a six minute walk from the Big Sky Scenic Lift, which means you can get up and onto the mountain in no time flat. This means instead of spending two hours each day of your vacation stuck in traffic commuting, you can just walk out the door and start enjoying yourself at this great Airbnb location in Big Sky

“Awesome place to stay in the heart of Big Sky mountain village, walking distance to the resort. Great accommodations and awesome hosts!” - Customer Review

Cabins

1 - 320 Guest Ranch

Historic Homestead Featuring Beautiful Modern Cabins and On-site Restaurant

Grab a digital 320 Guest Ranch gift card by following the link!

205 Buffalo Horn Creek Rd | Gallatin Gateway | 320ranch.com

The 320 Guest Ranch has been a part of Big Sky Montana for over 115 years. It originally operated as a homestead and a ranch, but in the time since then it has been reshaped into Montana’s premiere guest ranch. And I think they are one of the best places to stay in the area for a few reasons. First of all, they offer private cabins with a fireplace, as well as two-bedroom riverfront cabins, and even luxury log homes that you can rent out for your stay in the area.

And all of the cabins and homes feature large clear windows so that way you can enjoy the views of all the natural beauty from the comfort of your room.

And they also feature an on-site restaurant that serves food all day from breakfast to dinner. And it just so happens to be one of the best steakhouses in the area. And once you’ve had a hot breakfast you can spend the day enjoying the nearby hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, and plenty of fishing on the river.

“Nice cabins, comfortable beds, friendly staff, cool views and really good food onsite at McGills. Definitely worth a stay if you're near Big Sky or headed to Yellowstone.” - Yelp Review

2 - Lone Mountain Ranch

The Ultimate Big Sky Bed & Breakfast

750 Lone Mountain Ranch Rd | Big Sky | lonemountainranch.com

Lone Mountain Ranch has been giving travelers the true Yellowstone experience for over 100 years. You can stay in a historic private cabin when you stay here that has all the modern comforts of the modern world. You can choose from 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, adjoining cabins, and even houses for your stay. Even the one bedroom sized cabin comes with the luxury of a king sized bed and a queen size sleeper sofa.

But to be honest, all of the cabins are a little bit different from the others which will give you a really unique stay no matter which cabin you finally decide on. I would follow the link to their website and scroll through all the options they have for yourself so you can really see which cabin you think might be right for your stay.

“Had the most amazing stay at LMR! The staff was so sweet and attentive! The food was UN REAL!!!! My favorite part was the the Sleigh dinner! Can't wait to go back in the summer!” - Yelp Review

Hotels

1 - Residence Inn by Marriott (Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel)

Incredible Hotel In Big Sky Right Next to the Town Center

145 Town Ctr Ave | Big Sky | marriott.com

The Wilson Hotel is one of the newest hotels that has opened in Big Sky Montana and it has quickly become one of the most popular and it's easy to see why. It’s only just a few minutes walk from Big Sky’s local shops, restaurants and bars. They feature all of the modern amenities you might expect.

Comfortable peds, a full kitchen, dishes and silverware, and a refrigerator. They even have a heated outdoor pool for you to enjoy during your stay with them. There’s a fitness center, a game room, and obviously hi speed wifi access. They even have seasonal specials and weekly rates for those of you who are planning to spend your whole vacation in one spot.

This is overall going to be my number one choice of hotel to stay in while you are in Big Sky. As long as you have the cash to splurge that is. Because it looks like their average nightly rate varies between $250 and $350 a night. But with all the amenities and fantastic location it’s gonna be hard to beat that price. And if you make sure to get the right room you will even get great views of the Lone Peak mountains!

“Amazing hotel in Big Sky and perfectly located. Town center is next door, with all sorts of shops and restaurants. Great grocery stores and delis too. The hotel is super trendy and very clean. The outdoor pool in hot tub is gorgeous. Whiskey bar is incredible with so many types of whiskey. We will come back here often.” - Yelp Review

2 - Montage Big Sky

A Majestic Mountain Getaway

995 Settlement Trl | Big Sky | montagehotels.com/bigsky

Montage Big Sky is going to epitomize the peaceful spirit of the Mountain West. Guests are invited to bathe and bask in the unparalleled beauty of Big Sky country. The land the hotel is on is framed by the Spanish Peaks mountain range. It is without a doubt the most luxurious hotel in the area. So if you are looking for chandeliers in the hallway and wide open views of the majestic mountainside, then this is going to be the hotel in Big Sky for you.

Now as happens with everything that is considered luxurious, the luxury of course comes with a price. And here it happens to come with a serious price. You can expect a night here to run somewhere in the $1800 - $2000 dollar range.

“Beautiful hotel with excellent service, great dining outlets, and gorgeous rooms. This ski season they will have a snow machine so you can ski in/out. 10/10 experience” - Yelp Review

3 - Red Bear Inn

The Best Hotel to Help Keep Your Trip On Budget

204 N Main St | Ennis | www.redbearinn.com

Red Bear Inn isn’t going to be as fancy as the Wilson Hotel. It’s about an hour from Yellowstone, but right next to Ennis State Park. They are a simpler hotel so don’t expect  a full on kitchen stocked with everything you need. The rooms have tvs, hair dryers, microwaves, and a mini-fridge that has been the hotel universal basic standards. But they really take pride in providing a clean and relaxing environment for everybody who stays with them.

And you are able to get a night here for only around $100 a night which makes it far more affordable than The WIlson. So if you are willing to sacrifice a little bit of commute time, for a big chunk of savings, then Red Bear Inn might be just the place in Big Sky that you are looking for.

“Red Bear Inn is a great place to stay in Ennis. Reasonably priced, spacious, and clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. They have the little touches that made my stay more than just a place to sleep. I will be here next time I'm in Ennis. Unequivocally recommend.” - Yelp Review
