3. McGregor Mountain Lodge

McGregor Mountain Lodge is close to so many outdoor activities you can participate in. They are only a few miles away from downtown, so shopping and dining opportunities won’t be very far away. When you’re downtown, you will find ice cream shops, coffee shops, and even art galleries. At this hotel, you will also have easy access to hundreds of miles of hiking trails. If you stay there with your pet, all the action nearby will be very easily accessible.

4. Castle Mountain Lodge

Castle Mountain Lodge has been welcoming guests since the 1950s. It is centered right between downtown and Rocky Mountain National Park. So you’ll have about an equal sized distance when traveling downtown or to the forest. There is so much to do in both places, and staying at this hotel will give you easy access to it all as well as a wonderfully comfortable space to relax in afterwards. 

This hotel is located at the base of Trail Ridge Road, which goes up to over 12,000 ft up into the alpine tundra of the Rocky Mountains. You also have easy access to the Old Fall River Road, which will give you a really scenic drive. 

This hotel offers lots of great amenities that you will be happy to have whenever you’re not out on an adventure. They offer different games like tetherball, cornhole, and shuffleboard. There is also a library available for you to pick up books or board games. There are eight cabins with private hot tubs, a fire pit for everyone’s use, and fresh baked cookies in the lobby each day.

5. Coyote Mountain Lodge

The Coyote Mountain Lodge offers 48 inviting rooms with great views of the Rocky Mountains. This place inspires healthy vacationing and offers a lot to help make that happen. They have 40 acres, a heated pool, a catch and release trout pond, and a traditional gazebo. They are also near downtown where there are lots of cool places to visit, from restaurants to museums, and near the forests where you can engage in lots of great outdoor activities. 

Their rooms are all bright, clean, and spacious, and have a cozy vibe that represents the outdoors. This hotel has an upgraded rustic look to it that is popular and yet still very affordable. And it all comes with spectacular views of snow capped mountains, glacier lakes, and wildlife right outside your window. And your pet also gets to go and have just as good a time in and outside of the lodge as you will!
