Who can say no to authentic tacos made with bold flavors?
Taco Tuesday is a tradition like no other. Whether you’re in it for the tacos themselves, the good times that come along with any fiesta (but especially one that includes tacos), or just some good old fashioned convenience (let’s face it, making your own tacos can be a lot more effort than it’s worth sometimes), everyone has their reasons for enjoying Taco Tuesdays. In Jacksonville, there is no shortage of restaurants for you to enjoy this week’s taco celebration. It’s finding the right one for you that’s the tough part. Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of the best of the best so you don’t have to.
Below, you’ll find the best places to find your new favorite spot for Taco Tuesday in Jacksonville, FL.
Taco Tuesday is an American staple, but if you’re the kind of person who wants to celebrate weekly, you can start to wrack up quite the bill after a while, even at some of the cheaper, hole in the wall places. GiftYa understands the struggle of wanting to satisfy your taco cravings on a regular basis, though, and that’s why they’ve partnered with a number of local Jacksonville taco restaurants to give you access to e-gift cards to take a chunk out of that bill.

Whether you’re on the go and looking for a quick bite to eat while you carry on with the rest of your day or looking for a spot to sit down and enjoy your food while you celebrate Taco Tuesday this week, Blue Pacific Tacos has got you covered.
With both a food truck location and a small permanent shop where you can stop by to get your tacos, they understand that not everybody celebrates Taco Tuesday in the same way - and they don’t just mean how much time you’ve got to celebrate.
Their menu is inspired by global cuisines, so stop by weekly to work your way around a world of food options without ever having to leave Jacksonville!
Limited outdoor seating is available just outside their restaurant when the weather permits, so you can enjoy the warm Florida sunshine while you eat.
“The cute little restaurant was casual, order at the counter, and seat yourself (or take it to go was a popular option) in the small inside restaurant, the simple bar, or the courtyard.” - Yelp Review

Most people aren’t born vegans, and the later in life you decide to become a vegan, the more difficult it can be sometimes.
If you’ve recently started to try out a vegan diet but you're struggling with letting go of your old favorite foods (like tacos), know that you don’t have to let them go completely.
Vegan eating is actually very flexible if you know where to look, and Nacho Taco is exactly where you want to be if you’re a former omnivore or vegetarian who’s really craving a taco.
They have plenty of vegan options for you to choose between, and they don’t sacrifice on the flavor, either!
“Always amazing food and service with a smile. No vegan sour cream today, but we were given guacamole in its place. Great substitute upgrade, thank you.” - Yelp Review

In the very humble opinion of the folks at Taco Libre, every Taco Tuesday should be a fiesta - and boy if it isn’t a fiesta every time you walk through their doors! Bright colors, mouthwatering smells, and an overall amazing time await you this coming Tuesday.
Drop by to experience some of the most exceptional customer service offered in Jacksonville, as well as some of the tastiest tacos. You’ll be itching to come back for another bite after you witness this warm hospitality and happy atmosphere.
“I love this spot for lunch. The taco Tuesday deals brought me in but the excellent customer service brings me back. There is patio and indoor seating and I never have to wait to be seated.” - Yelp Review

There is no shortage of tacos to find throughout Jacksonville, but if you’re looking for some tacos that are truly authentic, you definitely won’t want to miss out on El Castillo Taqueria.
They make all of their tortillas from scratch, and you can even find traditional Mexican ingredients on their menu that most Americanized taco places would avoid (think cow tongue and beef head, which are a lot tastier than they might sound).
Often described by regulars as “a hole in the wall,” El Castillo Taqueria might not look like much from the outside, but you sure will be pleased with what you find on the inside.
“This place is a hidden gem. I hate reviewing this place because I don't want anyone else to find out about it! It's extremely authentic and I've seen all types of people eat here in the hour we've stayed.” - Yelp Review
Address: 9726 Touchton Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32246
Good tacos are a given at any place worth spending your Taco Tuesday at, but what sets Cantina Louie apart from the rest of the pack is their fun specialty cocktails and mouth watering sweet treats on their dessert menu.
Their tacos are amazing, but if you ever feel like treating yourself to both tacos and a drink or dessert (or all three), this is the place for you.
Try one of their many different takes on a Margarita, a Paloma, or even their sangria for something fruity to offset your savory dinner, and finish off your evening with their churros to curb your sweet tooth.
“Perfect, delicious wouldn't change a thing! I've been to the Touchton location many times… Huge assortment of tacos and then all the usual menu items.” - Yelp Review
Address: 1712 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
Named after founders Don and Debbie’s second child, Lucy, TacoLu is a family oriented place to head to for this week’s Taco Tuesday. If you’ve been around the Jacksonville area for quite some time, you might even recognize them from the few years they ran the first Sticky Fingers!
After they sold their first business, however, Don and Debbie found themselves missing the hustle and bustle of owning a restaurant, which is what led to the idea of TacoLu.
They spent a good amount of time traveling up and down the Californian coast, piecing together baja-inspired flavors to incorporate into their menu. And those flavors are exactly what you’ll find when you walk into TacoLu today. Their menu has changed very little over the years!
“Hands down, the best taco joint in jax! Best staff by far, amazing vegetarian/vegan options, just an overall amazing place! I recommend trying their hot howling monkey as well as the mango habanero hot sauce.” - Yelp Review
Address: 9974 Old Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32256
Whoever first suggested that there’s no value in a hole in the wall was absolutely incorrect. Las Tapatias Mexican Restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but once you taste their tacos, you’ll be craving them for all eternity.
Their menu might seem limited at first, but don’t be afraid to ask them if they have items that aren’t featured on their menu because they probably do!
The best part: many of the regular patrons at this restaurant are native Spanish speakers, and you might even find yourself surrounded by people not speaking a lick of English - which is how you know this place is authentic.
“Super hole in the wall, amazing, authentic Mexican food! Carnitas were amazing. Tacos filled to the brim & equally as tasty. First time there, will definitely be back & recommend to others!” - Yelp Review
Address: 9703 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32257
The word “tacos” will get an immediate “yes” out of most people, no questions asked, but there’s something particularly special about tacos made in the style of authentic Mexican street food.
Hot flour tortillas, fresh veggies, and meat right off the cooker are a staple of Mexican street food - and that’s exactly what they have here.
Order from a number of creative appetizers, specialty tacos made with steak, chicken, pork, or seafood (you choose!), and a number of other traditionally Mexican street food dishes. They also have some great mixed drinks to accompany your tacos!
“Let's talk about tacos. Steak. Chicken. Ground beef. They are all amazing here. The steak is marinated and tender. The ground beef almost has a taste like there is some chorizo in there.” - Yelp Review
