Hello internet traveler and welcome to my list of the best dog friendly restaurants you can find in the Tampa area. I know that as a pet owner, you would just love to be able to take your pet everywhere with you. But unfortunately a lot of restaurants aren’t very pet-friendly. This can be for a wide variety of reasons, but I imagine a lot of it has to do with health/sanitation reasons.

But many restaurants have found a work around, and they offer really nice outdoor seating so that pet owners can enjoy eating a meal with their furry friend, while still maintaining a clean and sanitary eating area inside the restaurant. And today I have a list of a bunch of different restaurants that feature outdoor seating for you and your dog. I tried to offer as much diversity as I could in the menu options (mostly just tried to get some choices other than seafood on the list). I’ll let you know the address for all these restaurants so that way you can find them. I’ll give you a link to their website so that way you can check out their menu (and their prices) before you drive all the way over there. And I’ll also give you a link anytime one of these restaurants accepts our convenient digital GiftYa gift cards

No bones about it, you’ve gotta know GiftYa

As a reminder a GiftYa digital gift card is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A gift card that functions just like every other gift card. It lets you make purchases at a participating bar, restaurant, or store up to the face value of the gift card. However, unlike traditional gift cards. GiftYa digital gift cards come with a few additional benefits. For instance, unlike a traditional gift card, a GiftYa can be sent straight to your phone in seconds. That way you don’t need to deliver a GiftYa in person if you want to give it as a gift. You don’t even have to go to a store in person if you want one for yourself. You can just visit the GiftYa website and pick one up today.

Since GiftYa cards are sent directly to your phone you never have to worry about misplacing them or forgetting to take them with you. In most instances you are going to have your phone with you so in most instances you will have your GiftYa cards right in your pocket. In addition to that, your GiftYa also keeps track of the balance for you. Which is so much nicer than having to try to remember how much was left over on those antiquated plastic gift cards. I mean you can’t write it on them very easily so idk what you’re supposed to do if you don’t use the total value the first time? Just guess the next time you are in town?

Riveters Tampa

Bring Your Best Friends to the Pet-Friendly Patio at Riveters, Whether It’s Your College Roomie or Your Fur Baby

2301 N Dale Mabry Hwy | West Tampa | riveterstampa.com

Riveters Tampa comes in at number one on my list of the best dog friendly restaurants in Tampa for a couple of reasons. But first and foremost, is that they have such a fun vibe. They describe themselves as an “eclectic bar with a nostalgic feel” you know when you go here you are going to be stepping into a restaurant that is committed to its aesthetic completely. When you step through the doors at Riveters Tampa you will be transported back into an era that significantly transformed the roles that were available to women in both the economy as well as society as a whole.

And not only do you get to experience a unique restaurant with an empowering message, you also get to enjoy food that is prepared with the freshest ingredients and with the highest quality of care. And while they have a carefully curated and maintained aesthetic in order to help deliver an empowering message to their patrons, they also have a lovely outdoor patio seating that is dog-friendly. So not only can you have a really unique dining experience at Riveters Tampa, you can also enjoy that meal with your canine companion.

“I'm so happy we stumbled upon this place. The food and atmosphere was so much fun! We dined on a Sunday to watch football, have beers and eat. Then again on a Tuesday, they had live music. The patio is the perfect spot for you to dine with your pup. Not to mention the huge portions and overall great customer service.” - Yelp Review

You can’t get a digital GiftYa gift card to Riveters Tampa at the moment but be sure to check back soon as new dog friendly restaurants and locations in Tampa are added all the time!

Ulele

Pronounced You-Lay-Lee

1810 N Highland Ave | Tampa | ulele.com

Ulele comes in at number two on my list of the best dog friendly restaurants in the Tampa area for two reasons really First of all, is there overwhelmingly positive customer feedback. That is always a good sign because you know the restaurant isn’t just good on certain nights, you know when they have a high customer rating with thousands of reviews, that they are delivering a quality meal time after time after time.

But on top of that, I also think that when you are as close to the ocean as you are when you are in Tampa, you are going to want to try some of the amazing fresh seafood that is available to you. And if you are in the mood for seafood, or just traditional American cuisine then Ulele is going to be the spot for you. They strive to celebrate a vibrant fusion of fresh seafood from Florida’s coast, as well as traditional Native American cuisines. There aren’t many restaurants that serve a meny like that so I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity if you are one of those kinds of people who always want to try something you haven’t had before.

“We had an excellent experience at Ulele. Our server James was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and gave us fantastic recommendations, which made our visit extra special. The cocktails are amazing and they have a great wine list.” - Yelp Review

Unfortunately Ulele isn’t one of the dog friendly restaurants in Tampa participating with GiftYa just yet, but check back soon cause they might be any day now.

Datz

You’ll Have a Dog-Gone Good Time at This Tampa Restaurant, and Datz All You Need to Know!

2616 S MacDill Ave | Palma Ceia | datztampa.com/

Datz rounds out the top three on my list of dog friendly restaurants in Tampa. The great thing about Datz is that they offer a menu that I think is kind of great any time. They serve comfort food, traditional American food, and they also have an extensive breakfast and brunch menu. So whether you are looking for a great breakfast, or a fantastic dinner, they are going to have something for you. And on top of that, they also have plenty of craft beers and boutique wines. And if you are looking for something a little stronger they also have plenty of high end liquors and spirits. Pretty much no matter what time of day you are out and about looking for a dog friendly restaurant, Datz is going to be able to fil that void for you.

“I love that there is outdoor seating it was great the service was fast and we had so much fun here. The food and drinks were filling and delicious. Very impressed with the quality of food here.” - Yelp Review

Datz  is one of the thousands of restaurants that accepts digital GiftYa gift cards but it is also among one of the highest rated dog friendly restaurants in Tampa!

Tampa Bay Brewing Company

Lap Up Some Tasty Brews with Man’s Best Friend at Your Side at TBBC

1600 E 8th Ave | Ybor City | https://www.tbbc.beer/home

Tampa Bay Brewing Company makes it onto the list because I think they provide another great dog friendly environment for you and your furry friend. They serve the classic food that you would expect at most American breweries. Beer cheese soup, wings, burgers, all the stuff you expect to accompany freshly brewed craft beers. And on top of that, everything is made fresh, in-house, with high quality local ingredients. So not only do you get to support small businesses when you eat at Tampa Bay Brewing Company, you also get to support small local farmers as well. And what’s better than a great meal that you also get to feel great about?

“Their food is always very good, and reasonably priced. Great selection of beers. (Stouts, APAs, IPAs, Ales, sours, seasonal stuff). Flights!! You can even grab cans or growlers to-go. Good service. Pretty good kid's menu.” - Yelp Review

Right now you aren’t able to get a GiftYa digital gift card to Tampa Bay Brewing Company but check back because there’s more dog friendly restaurants and stores in Tampa added all the time.

Salt Shack on the Bay

Enjoy Some Fun in the Sun with Your Furry Friend at this Dog-Friendly Restaurant on the Water in Tampa Bay

5415 W Tyson Ave | Tampa | salt-shack.com

Salt Shack on the Bay rounds out my list of the best dog friendly restaurants in Tampa FLorida, and the reason for that, I think they offer a really nice outdoor seating area. They obviously are going to serve a mixture of classic seafood dishes. After all, the name is literal and you can sit directly out on the bay if you enjoy their outdoor seating. Not only is it nicely decorated, you can also enjoy sitting out there with your dog who is overjoyed to be at a restaurant with you.

“Friendly staff, yummy food, and great view! Outdoor decor was beautiful as well! Family friendly as well!” - Yelp Review

There aren’t GiftYa digital gift cards available for Salt Shack on the Bay as of the date of this writing, but there might be now! Be sure to check GiftYa itself for all the gift cards available for dog friendly restaurants  in Tampa.

There you go! That is a list of the best dog friendly restaurants you can find around the Tampa Florida area. I hope that I was able to offer something that worked for you and your canine companion. I personally am not allowed to have a dog in my apartment, but I am counting down the days until I can make a down payment on a home and finally have a dog myself again, so I totally understand how attached pet owners can become to their pets.

And as such I really hope I was able to find something that worked for you and you pup. I’m sure that as excited as you might be to be able to take them to a restaurant with you, they are 1000x more excited to be able to go with you. So I hope I was able to help provide some excitement in the lives of the dogs all over the Tampa area today.
