Fork has a timeless feel to it thanks to the brick interior, comfortable booths and chairs, massive arched windows along the walls, and beautiful paintings. They even have a nifty open bar with shelves filled with jumbles of wine and alcohol that look like organized chaos and make the entire place feel more endearing.
Fork opened in 2011 with a mission to provide patrons with local, sustainable, and handcrafted food. They put a lot of effort into ensuring that guests are getting a farm-to-table experience by sourcing many of their key ingredients from local Boise and Northwest ranchers, bakers, farmers, brewers, distillers, and cheesemakers. Thanks to the relationships they’ve built with regionally local producers, their menu and selection of beer and wine are nothing short of amazing.
They offer a decent selection of breakfast and brunch foods along with tasty cocktails. We suggest trying the Northwest Scramble made with their housemade beef chorizo, locally sourced eggs, spinach, feta cheese, and balsamic with herbed crispy potatoes. 11. Txikiteo
A contemporary tapas bar serving tasty brunch using handcrafted and locally sourced ingredients.
175 N 14th St | Boise | txikiteo.com
Txikiteo is a restaurant to behold with its massive outdoor patio and contemporary interior decorations. Their tall ceiling and tall windows make the entire restaurant extremely bright and lovely. The light-colored furniture contrasts beautifully with the dark accent walls. The bar has mixed-sized shelves with drinks and decorations on them that add to its modern feel.
Txikiteo jokes that they're a popular restaurant where no one really knows their name. It's pronounced chee-kee-tay-o and it's a Basque word that means pub crawl or sharing tapas and wines with friends. Hopefully, people learn how to pronounce the name because it’s fun to say. Anyway, Txikiteo offers creative dishes using locally sourced ingredients with a focus on high quality. The staff is friendly and the food is incredible.
If you're in the mood for tapas, definitely try out Txikiteo. However, they also offer a brunch menu with a few different items. Their brunch menu is smaller, but the meals they offer are still incredible. Try their Breakfast Sandwich made with jamon serrano, manchego cheese, mostarda, and an egg on ciabatta.
