6 Best Takeout Places In Albuquerque

Featuring Some of the Best Takeout Restaurants in New Mexico

So here you are looking for the absolute best takeout restaurants a person could find  in Albuquerque New Mexico huh? You probably went to the search bar on your phone’s browser, (or maybe you’re even on an actual computer with a keyboard and everything, wouldn’t that be something) and typed in something along the lines of “what’s the best takeout restaurant in Albuquerque New Mexico” or “list of the best takeout restaurants in Albuquerque” right? The only way you ended up on this article is if the algorithms (i.e., our beloved overlords) brought you here.

So you must have triggered some of those all important keywords in your pursuit of amazing takeout in Albuquerque. So the search engine brought you to me, and it’s my job to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for. And today, just like everyday, (well most days) I’m going to do my job and make sure you find exactly what you are looking for right here on this page. This is a list of the best takeout restaurants in Albuquerque and where you can find them. I even included links anytime one of these restaurants accept our super convenient virtual gift card.

As a reminder a GiftYa digital gift card is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A gift card that functions just like every other gift card. It lets you make purchases at a participating bar, restaurant, or store up to the face value of the gift card. However, unlike traditional gift cards. GiftYa digital gift cards come with a few additional benefits. For instance, unlike a traditional gift card, a GiftYa can be sent straight to your phone in seconds. That way you don’t need to deliver a GiftYa in person if you want to give it as a gift. You don’t even have to go to a store in person if you want one for yourself. You can just visit the GiftYa website and pick one up today.

Since GiftYa cards are sent directly to your phone you never have to worry about misplacing them or forgetting to take them with you. In most instances you are going to have your phone with you so in most instances you will have your GiftYa cards right in your pocket. In addition to that, your GiftYa also keeps track of the balance for you. Which is so much nicer than having to try to remember how much was left over on those antiquated plastic gift cards. I mean you can’t write it on them very easily so idk what you’re supposed to do if you don’t use the total value the first time? Just guess the next time you are in town?

Cocina Azul

Best Takeout Restaurant in Albuquerque

1134 Mountain Rd NW | Downtown | cocinaazul.com

Cocina Azul comes out at the top of our list today for a few reasons. First of all, they accept our digital GiftYa cards, whichthat I just spent all the time explaining in the paragraph above so I’m a little biased in their favor. Call it plot armor if you want to. But regardless of my personal biases, Cocina Azul would make it to the top of the list on its own merit regardless. Established in 2009 the restaurant specializes in authentic, indigenous, and fresh New Mexican cuisine. And is voted as the best in the city year after year since they have been opened. So all my kidding aside, Cocina Azul has nothing but rave review after rave review. With over 1500 reviews on Yelp the restaurant maintains a four and a half star rating. And if you take a minute to scroll, you’ll see why they have five stars and four stars in review after review that people leave. So if they’ve been vetted by the insanity of the internet and come out on top, as well as been voted best restaurants over and over again you can trust their ranking at the top of this list.

“What a wonderful dinner. Everything was excellent. The service was excellent too!! In fact we are going back to try the tacos!  Do not hesitate!!  Just go. You won't be disappointed!!” - Yelp Review

Cocina Azul is one of the thousands of restaurants that accepts digital GiftYa gift cards but it is also among one of the highest rated best takeout restaurants in Albuquerque!

Soo Bak Seoul Bowl

If You Are Craving Asaian Takeout in Albuquerque

111 Hermosa Dr SE | Nob Hill | soobakfoods.com

Soo Bak Seoul Bowl hasn’t been around for very long. In fact they only opened in 2019 and I wish them the best of luck. After the economic hardships so many businesses have faced since the start of the pandemic, it’s amazing a place as new as Soo Bak Seoul Bowl is still here serving both innovative and traditional takes on Korean Cuisine. But it shouldn'tis shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, although the restaurant only has about 100 reviews, the vast majority of them ring overwhelmingly positive.

And I think the reason for that is not only that they are known for their flavorful food, and the fact they serve both traditional dishes as well as new takes on Korean classics, but the fact that they have managed to take the traditional Korean lunch of dinner and turn it into a super convenient and casual experience, Where you can just get in and out with lunch if you want to, or take your time and sit down to enjoy a nice dinner. They have something for everybody.

“Really delicious food! I liked being able to sit outside in some shade and enjoy the day while also enjoying a delicious bibimbap bowl! The smell reminded me of yummy bowls in Korea but with a distinct western flavor that matches super well. Really great vegan options, and the tofu was perfectly crispy. It had great flavor!

Coming from California with a ton of Korean food.. if Soo Bak was in the Bay, I'd probably choose it over other local spots. Going to have to visit again next time I'm in town!” - Yelp Review

Soo Bak Seoul Bowl doesn’t offer GiftYa digital gift cards just yet, but check back soon because we are always adding best takeout restaurants and attractions in Albuquerque!

Addictive Peruvian Chicken for Takeout?

6105 Gibson SE | International District | pollitoconpapas.com

Pollito Con Papas features Peruvian style cuisine, and they specialize in a Peruvian style chicken. They use a secret marinate on the entire chicken and it is then served as thighs, wings, and breasts. And there must be something in that marinade because the locals describe it as “addictive.”. And when the restaurant opened in 2011, it only took them six months to be successful enough to move to a larger and nicer location. So there’s no doubt that the food at Pollito Con Papas is to die for.

“Treated so well by the owner and wait staff to start. Food was amazingly delicious... Walked out telling my friend this was a great business model - wonderful food, great service, extra care from the owner.  What's not to love?  I will be back and bring others!” - Yelp Review
