It’s always interesting to see what kind of obstacles you’ll face on the course. Whether there are windmills, double dips, or rocks, these places are almost always more challenging than they appear. Cool Springs Sports Complex is one of the best places to try your hand at mini-golf. Whether you think you’re pretty good — or you know you’re a little rusty — the course here is challenging for all levels. Everyone is sure to have a good time here. And if you’re in the mood for more golf, there’s a driving range there as well. You can learn how to drive a ball like the pros in this spot.

There are restaurants within the complex so the whole family can fuel up after a round of mini-golf. Located in Bethel Park, this place is not far from South Park, which has a lot of fun outdoor activities to try. Make a whole day of it and be sure to visit both!

If you’re in the Moon area, you’ll want to check out Scally’s Golf Center for all your mini golf needs. This is a fun course that is very popular amongst Pittsburghers -- there’s a little something for all levels of play. This 18-hole course has plenty of waterfalls and creeks to keep all members of your party on their toes.

In addition to a mini golf course, Scally’s also has a driving range and batting cages. Because they are indoor, these tend to be full all year long -- including in the colder weather. You can work on your swing at Scally’s year round and in the spring, take on their PAR 3 course!

3. Forsythe Mini Golf

Forsythe Mini Golf may only be open during the warmer months, but in the summer it’s always packed full of locals looking to have a good time. Their mini golf course is located right next to Carnegie Park, which includes a skate park and a dog park. There are year-round lots of shady areas and benches as well, so feel free to take your time on the course.

4. RMU Island Sports Center

RMU Island Sports Center is located on Neville Island and is home to some top-notch ice hockey rinks. But they also have a beautiful mini-golf course on campus as well.

This well-designed and maintained course is a good place to test your mini golf skills-- there are water hazards and enough bumps and jumps to keep everyone in your group entertained.

Kniess’ Mini Golf is a great option for a fun activity in Pittsburgh-- whether with the family, as a date, or with a group of friends. Located in beautiful Ross Township, Kniess has been serving the people of Pittsburgh with some excellent mini golf for years.

The course layout dates back to the 1930s, and this original design has been well maintained by the owner. Patrons appreciate the well-manicured lawns and beautiful flower arrangements. They offer just the right accompaniment to a fun game of mini-golf. Make sure you try both courses available-- there are two!

North Park Mini-Golf Course is located just a short drive north of Pittsburgh, in the Wexford area of Pine Township. This fun course has been around since 1961 — and once you visit, it’s easy to see why.

The beautiful scenery is only part of the experience here — but it tends to be a quieter course as well — which creates a nice, relaxing atmosphere. This is largely due to the fountains and waterfalls that are sprinkled throughout the course.

But don’t think this course doesn’t have its challenges — it most certainly does! When you’re done with mini-golf, make sure to stop by the driving range or the course to continue the golfing fun.

If you’re in the South Park area and looking for a great place to play some mini-golf, make sure to stop by Sunset Golf. This family-owned course has been around since 1959 — and continues to give the people of Pittsburgh a fun place to relax and play a round of mini-golf.

This course has 27 holes — unlike most courses that only have 18. This means there are more challenging holes — and more time to have fun! The driving range and putting green are also popular stops for locals looking to keep on top of their game. If you’re new to golf, they also offer golf lessons as well.

This course is a little different than most miniature golf courses around Pittsburgh — there are no artificial obstacles or traps — only ones that appear naturally on the landscape! There is a waterfall though — so make sure to steer clear of that.

Located inside the Pine Creek Golf Center, Pine Creek Putt Putt is a fun, family-friendly mini-golf course that people of all ages will enjoy. Tickets are only $8 for adults and $5 for kids aged 13 and under. In addition to its simple but challenging course, Pine Creek Putt Putt also offers an ice cream shop. Kid’s scoops, single scoops, and double scoops are all served! Once you finish up the course, make sure you head by this ice cream shop for a quick pick-me-up.

Since 1947, families have flocked to Bill’s Golfland to try their hand at it’s popular mini-golf course. Along with mini-golfing, families can also practice their hockey skills on the court and grab a hearty meal at the on-site restaurant.

Since opening in 2009, Family Funscape has attracted thousands of visitors looking to play a fun and entertaining round of mini-golf. You’ll find ponds, bridges, hills, and more exciting displays at this popular min-golf course. Family Funscape’s 18-hole miniature golf course, the Copperhead Canyon, also allows you to play a challenging round of mini-golf while staying socially distant from others. 

Don’t want to leave just yet? Try the Sidewinder Maze! This intricate maze covers 5,800 square feet and will put your memory skills to the test. You’ll need to find all four stamp stations in the maze before exiting as quickly as possible.
