The Bright Angel Trail is one of the most popular hikes in the Grand Canyon. This rigorous, but fun hike usually takes around half a day, so make sure you plan accordingly! We recommend bringing some snacks, water, and sun hats. The descent down is pretty easy, but prepare for a challenging ascent on the way back up. 

During your hike, you will be treated to breathtaking views of cliffs, plants, and various wildlife. You might even encounter some mules! If you do, make sure you give them the right of way. Resthouses, vault toilets, and drinking water are also available on the hike.

7. Havasu Falls

Next up on the list is Havasu Falls. This stunning waterfall is located on the Havasupai Indian Reservation. Right now, the fall is closed until the end of 2022. But if you’re planning on visiting the Grand Canyon in 2023, you can still make a reservation for your visit!

The hike to reach Havasu Falls can be challenging, so make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen with you! The rigorous hike will be worth it once you spot the gorgeous blue falls.

8. Grand Canyon Skywalk

If you want to see some of the best views of the Grand Canyon, we recommend stopping by the Grand Canyon Skywalk. This famous skybridge extends 70 feet over the rim of the canyon. From there, you can see 4,000 feet of the canyon below. 

While you can’t take your own photos at the skywalk, you can ask one of the professional photographers on-site to take one for you. You can purchase your photos and keep them as prints or on a USB drive.

Last, but certainly not least, on the list is the Desert View Watchtower. This popular visitor site is another great spot for catching stunning views of the Grand Canyon.  

Located at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the Desert View Watchtower is open daily from 8am to 6pm. It offers a visitor desk as well as regular cultural demonstrations. The Desert View Campground is also located nearby.
