The resort has multiple spots for you to stay and enjoy, there’s the main “Swag House” with six rooms available all varying in style and balcony variations, the “Chestnut Lodge” with five rooms also all varying, and seven private cabins and suites. 

You’ll get to experience the best comfort and grandeur at any of their standing accommodations. Some amenities include fireplaces, hot tubs, steam showers, super soft bathrobes, and plenty more. We’ve found that for the entire weekend, typical prices range anywhere from $1000 to $2000 (depending on where you choose to stay) before taxes and fees. The Lakeview at Fontana Soaking Cabana Resort is known for their legendary “Cloud 9 Ritual” which is an elevated cabin-cabana overlooking Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains where you have 90 minutes to soak in their comfy tub with your partner. It is totally secluded so you don’t need to bring a bathing suit but may do so if wanted. They have products available for you and others to share that really enrich the experience. 

You don’t even need to book a room for this mini-getaway but if you do you’ll fall in love with cozy rooms and one to two bedroom suites. Their cozy rooms are similar to hotel-room-like sizes and their suites come with their own kitchenette, dining, and sitting area(s). For their cozy rooms they have nightly rates starting at $209, and one night rentals available Sunday through Thursday. For the one bedroom suite they have nightly rates starting at $239 and weekly rates for $1260. The two bedroom suites’ nightly rates start at $269 and weekly rates for $1500.

We aren’t done with the hot tubs and hot water soaks quite yet because next up we have Hot Springs Log Cabins outside Asheville. Here you’ll be secluded away from the business of the city and be brought into scenic mountain views. You won’t have to worry too much about having to bring stuff with you as on their website each cabin has a “hot tub, fireplace, gas grill, private porch, wooded mountain scenery, modern kitchens, and a host of essential amenities.” You have your choice of the Oak Cabin, Holly Cabin, Paw Print Cabin (best for furry friends), Hound Heaven Cabin, and their Pine Cabin. Prices typically range anywhere from $109 to $180 before taxes and fees.

Rivers Edge Treehouse Resort along Cheoah River is perfect for those who have always been curious about staying in one of these houses. They have six treehouses to choose from. Some have one king bed or one queen, varying deck sizes, different views, and many amenities like heat and air conditioning, electric fireplace, microwave, mini-fridge, and more. Prices for the weekend typically range around from $149+ before taxes and fees a night.

Enjoy Time at The Lodge on Lake Lure

Originally built in the 1930’s The Lodge on Lake Lure has taken it’s classic charm and reinvented it with modern amenities and modern flare. This newly renovated lodge is the perfect escape away from the daily grind. They have seventeen guest rooms, so it’s potentially a little more crowded than the options above but not as much as you would find if you stayed at a hotel. 

However if you are looking for a more private experience then you might like their Cabin Building Rooms which is a cabin that houses four rooms so it can be a bit more private. The lodge itself each has their rooms with that “log-cabin” feel and you will be mere steps away from their own restaurant: Appalachia Restaurant, where you don’t have to worry about food and can enjoy some delicious home-cooked meals. We’ve found prices typically range around from $150 to $250 a night before taxes and fees.

Only twelve miles from Asheville and close to the Biltmore Estate lies the Wildberry Lodge which offers couples a chance to explore their love while taking in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. “The lodge is constructed of handcrafted logs (full trees), painstakingly carved by the craftsman at Maple Island Log Homes.” 

So you both will get to feel what it’s like to stay in an actual log lodge which is pretty cool. Wildberry has four rooms varying in size and amenities, and three suites with one being the “Honeymoon Cabin Suite” which is obviously the pick for couples celebrating their honeymoon or another big romantic milestone. Prices vary per room/suite but you can expect their rooms to be around $189 to $350 and their suites to be $299 to $459.

Theresa Chiettini, the owner of The Fearrington House has “earned the intricacies of managing luxury hotels in both Europe and the Caribbean from a very early age.” Which is why the Inn itself is one many flock to as a way to give themselves a break and enjoy the company of one another in a semi-secluded area in North Carolina. This large property is perfect for weddings, a honeymoon, or a date weekend with your partner celebrating your love. They have restaurants on site with delicious food and drink options, and plenty to explore in the area.
