Keep it Kosher at These Dietary Friendly Orlando Restaurants

There’s No Need to Skip Out on Dinner with Your Friends at These Kosher Restaurants

Not all kosher diets manifest in the same way. In the Jewish tradition, the rules of eating kosher are fairly simple, but rigid. Individuals, however, can and do decide to pick and choose exactly how strictly they’d like to follow those rules. Some Jewish people may choose to follow kosher law to a tee, while others may be a bit more flexible and still others will forgo the rules completely. If you or a friend are someone who does choose to strictly follow kosher law - or even just some of it - you’re probably well aware of how difficult it can be to find restaurants that serve up kosher food. Luckily for you, we’ve put together a list of some of the best kosher-friendly restaurants in Orlando.

Kosher Restaurants

About GiftYa

Anyone who practices a kosher diet knows that eating out at restaurants is rarely the easiest way to keep yourself well-fed. Most restaurants don’t even think about the different dietary restrictions that people with different religious backgrounds might have when they go to design their menus. And even when you do find a restaurant that’s specifically catered to your dietary needs, it’s usually not the most affordable place, either. Luckily, GiftYa is here to bring a little peace to your wallet in the form of e-gift cards. Grab one for yourself or a friend today!

You’ll probably have to be a bit more on the flexible side of kosher law to enjoy some pizza here at Mellow Mushroom, but as long as you are, they do offer up some of the most delicious pizza in Orlando.

Traditional Jewish law states that kosher cheese is only considered kosher if it’s been made by a Jewish person. Since the folks at Mellow Mushroom can’t confirm exactly who made the cheese that they use for their pizzas you’ll have to offer a little bit of leniency to enjoy some pizza here.

You also have the option to build your own pizza here, though, so if you’d prefer to stick to cheeses only made by Jewish people, you could opt for their vegan cheese, which is free of any animal byproducts, instead.

“Not only is it a cool atmosphere, but they have a nice (smaller) bar, consistently great food and service, and they truly understand vegan.” - Yelp Review

Not only do they follow kosher law here, but their food is also some of the most delicious food there is to offer in Orlando! Enjoy everything the traditional Israeli cuisine has to offer - from tempura to hummus to falafel.

“One of the best kosher restaurants in the USA. Excellent service, excellent food.  Everything we ordered was better than the next.  The soup, hummus, rib steak and grilled chicken were amazing.” - Yelp Review

Are we cheating a little bit by calling a dessert shop a restaurant? Maybe, but everyone deserves a treat or ten every now and then. Skip dinner and go straight for dessert this time around, and you can enjoy some certifiably kosher frozen yogurt from Menchie’s!

Every flavor of their frozen yogurt has been certified as kosher by Kosher Supervision of America. If you’re on the stricter side of adhering to Jewish law, you may want to opt for one of their pre-packaged and sealed frozen yogurts to ensure that nothing has tainted the product externally.

Menchie’s is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, which means that you are entirely in control of which flavors and how much yogurt you’d like, as well as which toppings you decide to add to your yogurt to ensure that everything is kosher.

“Great place for dessert. My wife absolutely loves this place. There really isn't any way you can get something you don't like. You can sample all their flavors and pick your favorites.” - Yelp Review

It’s not often that we look at a fast food chain restaurant and consider just how kosher it is. You’ll, of course, need to be a little forgiving about the meat and dairy being cooked within the same kitchen here at Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes, but they sure do offer up quite the selection of kosher choices for you.

Their hot dogs are Kosher certified Hebrew National hot dogs, which means that they are made with 100% kosher beef. On the other hand, they haven’t yet confirmed whether the Certified Angus Beef they use for their burgers has been made with the kosher Glatt Beef made by the company, but you can always ask.

If not, you can absolutely opt to enjoy one of their vegan or veggie burgers instead and not have to worry about whether the beef is kosher or not! Be sure to check out all the different recipes they’ve concocted to make your hot dog and burger even more special.

“I did the build my own burger. Next time I go, I will definitely be trying the  lettuce wrap. The bun however, is so good!” - Yelp Review
