You really can’t go wrong with Andrew Lloyd Webber. First performed in the late 60s in London, The Phantom of the Opera is still captivating audiences all over the world as the longest running Broadway show off all time with over 12,000 performances and counting. It isn’t in Pittsburgh for long, so be sure you don’t miss this true classic while it’s around. It was really the sensation when it came out in 2011, and that’s still true today. Let’s face it, Mormonism is kind of a pretty easy target for some good humored fun, and The Book of Mormon takes full advantage. Still an absolute crowd pleaser, even those less excited about the prospect of seeing a musical are sure to have a good time with this one. It’s only in town about a week so be sure to get your tickets before the few shows there are sell out.

If you’re looking for a fun night out, you aren’t going to find anything much better than a performance with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales. Bringing their fun and playful performance to Pittsburgh for the first time, The Vaudevillians follows too Vaudeville singers (Jinkx and Major) who are thawed out of the Antarctic ice to find their hits were stolen by the likes of Janis Joplin and Gloria Gaynor, and they’re not going to have any of that. Enjoy a night of hits performed in the style of an old cabaret saloon. Sure to be an irreverent and fun evening.

After Carol Channing passed sadly in January, it would be a shame to miss this production of Hello Dolly. Even if you never knew who Carol Channing was, you’re going to want to know this musical. An incredibly fun and colorful evening is in store for whoever get’s their show tickets soon. Probably one of the most fun shows coming to Pittsburgh in 2019, you simply can’t miss this one.
