It was really the sensation when it came out in 2011, and that’s still true today. Let’s face it, Mormonism is kind of a pretty easy target for some good humored fun, and The Book of Mormon takes full advantage. Still an absolute crowd pleaser, even those less excited about the prospect of seeing a musical are sure to have a good time with this one. If you’re looking for a fun night out, you aren’t going to find anything much better than a performance with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales. Bringing their fun and playful performance to Pittsburgh for the first time, The Vaudevillians follows too Vaudeville singers (Jinkx and Major) who are thawed out of the Antarctic ice to find their hits were stolen by the likes of Janis Joplin and Gloria Gaynor, and they’re not going to have any of that. Enjoy a night of hits performed in the style of an old cabaret saloon. Sure to be an irreverent and fun evening.
