Fat Head’s Saloon is where Pittsburghers go when they want-- quite possibly-- the largest draft beer selection in the city. This place has everything from beers made by their brewery, delicious local selections, crafts from around the United States, and foreign beers as well.
You won’t be able to try all of them either-- they are constantly changing out their selections to get new ones in. This South Side staple tends to change beers with the seasons. While you’re there-- make sure to try something off their menu-- it’s some great pub food!

Hough’s is located in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, and is a popular spot for Pittsburghers to try out some new beers. Their draft list is extensive-- and goes best when ordered with their delicious pub food. They even have their own Mug Club for patrons to join and receive some discounts on beers and access to special tasting sessions.
This bar is connected to the Copper Kettle Brewery-- and together they offer tours and tasting sessions as well. They even have opportunities for you to brew your own beer!

The Urban Tap has locations in Shadyside and the South Side part of Pittsburgh, and either location is always ready for you to stop in and try some of their beers. Sharp Edge is located in the cultural district of downtown Pittsburgh, and is the locals’ favorite place to grab some pub food and try out some Belgian beers. Most beer drinkers know that that Belgium brews some of the best beer in the world-- and the Sharp Edge makes it a point to put as many as they can on draft!

Independent Brewing Co. is dedicated to keeping Pittsburgh’s craft beer scene at the forefront of their business-- that is why they were founded! Their selections of beers rotates with the seasons-- as well as according to the timetables of local breweries like the East End Brewery and Grist House Brewery.
They also offer specialty cocktails and a menu that emphasizes the importance of buying local, fresh ingredients. Most of the vendors they work with are from Western Pennsylvania-- and the menu items depend on the season.

Proper Brick Oven and Tap Room is one of the best spots in downtown Pittsburgh to get a great beer and a delicious pizza. It’s located right in the cultural district and is a very popular option before shows. With their 30 beers on draft-- which is always rotating-- it’s easy to see why.
Their pizza also brings people in-- and comes in interesting combinations such as the Black and Gold, Pesto, and the Harvest. All of their wood fired pizzas can be paired with its proper brew-- just ask the bartender for some suggestions!

The Foundry is a lively beer bar located right next to PNC Park and Heinz Field. It can get very packed on game day-- and with their beer selection it’s not hard to guess why. With over 30 draft options that can change daily-- it’s best to stop in to get their most up to date listing.
Since it’s right across the Allegheny River, lots of downtown professionals like to stop in here for happy hour as well. With half price draft beer all week, this place never seems to slow down.
