1601 W Snow Ave | Hyde Park | bartaco.com

This beloved taco-spot has deceptively casual decor – with “whitewashed walls and wanderlust inspiring photography on the walls”, the beachy vibes will instantly put you in a vacation mindset. But ambiance isn’t the only reason Bartaco tops our list today – it’s the food.

Locals love the pork belly tacos and the white fish tacos, paired with a fresh squeezed drink from the bar, of course. Not feeling the tacos tonight? You can’t go wrong with a rice bowl or street corn off the cob, either.

The online ordering system is a departure from what many restaurants use, but guests report that it’s pretty easy to figure out – and it makes splitting the tab with friends a breeze.

“BarTaco is always a hit in Hyde Park. The atmosphere, music and variety of taco/non taco options. The cocktails are always good, fresh squeezed citrus crafted cocktails. WOW!!! And the bartenders are always friendly and fast!!” - Yelp Review

Step back in time and sip a giggle water at this speakeasy-inspired spot in Safety Harbor. Image courtesy of Yelp.

737 Main St | Safety Harbor | gigglewaters.com

Gigglewaters may sound like a silly name, but it actually has some history! In the late 1920s, “giggle water” was a slang term for an alcoholic cocktail due to the euphoric effect a delicious drink can have. Gigglewaters is your chance to step back in time and grab a cocktail in a swanky prohibition-style establishment, complete with tin ceilings, Edison lighting, and Biltmore wood bar that dates back to 1897.

While Gigglewaters does serve up plenty of creative cocktails for you to sip on, you won’t want to miss their food and entertainment offerings either. Their menu is backed with high end items like Wagyu beef burgers or more humble creations like bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Plus, Gigglewaters is a one-screen classic movie theater, so you can enjoy cult favorites like Goodfellas, The Breakfast Club, Goonies, and many more while you dine.

“Perfect lil spot to grab a bite to eat or grab a cocktail or two! I ordered the Hudson and it was FABULOUS! The staff is friendly the service is great!!” - Yelp Review

Popular for private events and causal hangouts alike, this is one restaurant you won’t want to miss if you’re exploring Hyde Park. For something savory, be sure to order the fried brussels sprouts – or if you’ve got a sweet tooth, the pressed french toast can’t be beat.
